With our large-scale industrial capabilities, Plywood Components, Inc., is a major supplier of scarfed plywood with oversize dimensions. Using scarf joint technology, we create plywood for applications that require panels with dimensions that go far beyond standard sizes. Inside our fabrication facility, we have an arsenal of equipment specifically geared for joining multiple panels together to make a single panel that is longer and wider. Our equipment assets include flying cut-off saws, CNC routers for beveling edges, and custom sanders capable of smoothing the surfaces of panels with large proportions. We use the very latest technical adhesives to produce high-strength structural bonds in treated plywood to ensure long-lasting, high-integrity joining guaranteed not to fail.
Materials of construction include structural soft plywood, hardwood plywood, hardwood veneers, and MDF. We build panels in custom shapes and sizes with dimensions of up to 50’ in length x 10’ in width from plywood that measures up to 1-1/8” in thickness. Our experience covers applications in a wide variety of industries. We fabricate scarf panels for use as boat decks, billboards, and single piece truck floors. Along with durable, high-strength slide out floors for recreational vehicles, our scarfed panels are used as railcar wall panels and trailer liners, side panels, and door panels. We can furnish panels with custom surface coatings, such as water resistant sealers and UV top coats, and we offer a variety of standard and custom edge treatments and finishes. We also offer custom crating to keep the oversized panels safe and secure during transport.
